E-cigarettes are considered a revelation for
rehabilitating people addicted to smoking. The article published by Miler et al.
presented the results of an online survey that was intended towards assessing
the real time efficacy of these e-cigarettes and monitoring the rates of
increased incidence of respiratory infections. The results obtained from the
survey did not indicate towards increase in the rates of respiratory
infections.

Altogether 941 responses were received. Overall,
29% of responders reported no change in respiratory symptoms, 5% reported
worsening, and 66% reported an improvement(95% CI=62.9-69.0). There were 247
qualitative responses commenting on improvements or worsening in the rates of
respiratory infections after switching from smoking to vaping. The total of 232
